Cleaning & Maintenance Daily: Dust with a soft, lint-free cloth. Spills: Wood is porous. Liquid left to sit will mark the surface. Blot spills instantly. Prohibited: Never use bleach, ammonia, abrasive pads, or "all-purpose" surface sprays. These strip the natural oils and damage the finish. 2. The Aging Process (Patina) You have purchased an item that will change. Iroko: Will darken from a golden yellow to a rich, copper brown over time. Mahogany: Will deepen into a warmer, redder tone. We embrace this evolution. We call it "Patina" , the dignity of age. Do not try to scrub it away. Polish: Each Atúnlò piece is finished with a food-safe tung and walnut oil blend. Simply hand-wash and re-oil whenever you feel you need to. We recommend every 3–6 months to maintain its natural beauty and long-lasting protection. 3. Placement Keep the piece level. If placed on an uneven floor, the structural integrity of the complex joinery can be stressed over time. Use coasters or felt pads under hot ceramics or heavy objects to protect the surface. 4. The 50-Year Promise This piece was built to last generations. If, over the years, the surface becomes scratched or worn, remember that solid wood can always be refinished. It is renewable.
